Charlie Hebdo – 4 booksellers in Jette warned off selling latest Charlie Hebdo issue

4 booksellers in Jette received threatening leaflets on Wednesday morning, forbidding them to sell the latest issue of the satirical weekly Charlie Hebdo, revealed the police department from zone Ouest (Jette, Ganshoren, Berchem-Saine-Agathe, Molenbeek-Saint-Jean, Koekelberg) on Wednesday, confirming information published by the daily La Derniere Heure. The 4 booksellers found the threatening mail in their letter boxes on Wednesday morning. According to local police, action will be taken following consultation with the Crisis Centre. They have yet to reveal what type of action is under consideration. Videos captured by CCTV around the targeted bookstores are currently being examined.

The new issue of Charlie Hebdo will be on sale in Belgium on Thursday. It is the first issue of the weekly printed since the attack on its editorial staff last Wednesday, which killed 12 people including 5 cartoonists.
