Police stations in Brussels and Hal to be closed at night

After Ocam (Coordinating Body for Threat Analysis) announced on Thursday night it was raising the level of alert to 3 on a scale of 0-4, the Brussels police and Hal local police announced on Friday that new security measures had been put in place. Hal police station will be closed from 10:00pm to 7:00am until further notice and several Brussels police stations will close on weekends, only opening on weekdays during office hours. The police stations at the following locations will also only open during office hours: Rue de la Loi, Rue du Houblon, Rue de Livourne, Rue Nicolay, Rue du Wimpelberg, Rue du Cortenback, Rue Louis Lepoutre, Avenue du Fusain, Avenue Houba de Strooper, Avenue Clovis, Chaussée d'Ixelles, Place Flagey.

Three duty stations will however remain open round the clock: Rue du Collège, Rue du Marché au Charbon and Avenue Emile Bockstael.
