Ban Ki-moon made honorary doctor at KUL

Leuven Catholic University (KUL) will grant honorary doctor status to United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon on May 28th. The university wants to recognise and honour his role as builder of bridges between nations, communities and people, according to a press release on Thursday.  “In his role as Secretary-General of the United Nations, Ban Ki-moon plays a pivotal role in the search for peace and solidarity and has been able to unite people around themes such as climate, health, food and education,” announced KUL. Ban Ki-moon’s Alma mater also highlights his “continued involvement in conflict resolution around the world.”

The ceremony is to take place on May 28th at 10:00am.
