Fight between Belgians and Dutch on the road: those involved are still in custody

The six people arrested after Saturday’s fight between a group of Belgians and a Dutch family, which took place near an exit of the A59 motorway to Efteling, are still in custody. A 23 year old Dutch man and a 63 year old Belgian were injured.

Police say a manoeuvre caused the fight. Some of the passengers got out of their car, and a fight broke out. A 23 year old man, the son of a couple from Dordrecht who are both in their fifties, received an injury to his face. His father then took up a deer foot, which he used to attack a 63 year old Belgian. The Belgian was taken to hospital.

The couple and three Belgian men aged between 40 and 66 were arrested, along with the injured Belgian.
