The person who locked himself in the toilet of a Thalys train in Rotterdam on Friday morning is a 16 year old adolescent. The investigation is ongoing, but on Saturday Dutch police said they have found nothing to indicate he was planning anything malicious.
Rotterdam station was evacuated. The adolescent was arrested three hours after they arrived at the scene.
The adolescent wasn’t armed, and did not resist when he was arrested. He was taken to hospital as he was hyperventilating. No explosives were found on the train.
