Anonymous has denied hacking the Walloon Economy ministry’s website on its Twitter account, several papers reported on Saturday evening.
“Anonymous Belgium has no Guerrilla operation, don’t forget we are Apolitical”, reads a tweet by Anonymous.
A video published on Youtube says Anonymous Belgium had claimed responsibility for a cyberattack on the Walloon Economy ministry’s website, saying the attack was “just the start of a larger scale cyberattack”.
The spokesman for the Walloon public services said the WPS sites remained operational. “We did detect an increase in activity this morning, which slowed them down and made one of our sites inaccessible at one point, due to a long response time”, he said.
