Two arrested and charged with participation in a terrorist attack

Two of the seven people arrested over the weekend in connection with the investigation of Friday’s terrorist attacks in Paris have been charged with participation in a terrorist act and involvement with a terrorist group, revealed the federal prosecutor’s office on Monday. Five others, including Mohamed Abdeslam, brother of the actively sought suspect Salah Abdeslam, were released.

A police raid took place on Molenbeek-Saint-Jean’s Rue Delaunoy on Monday morning, in the hope of catching Salah Abdeslam, the prime target of an international arrest warrant, who is actively sought in the investigation of the Paris attacks. A search took place but no arrests were made, added the prosecutor’s office.
