A coffin containing human bones was discovered in Ostend in the night from Wednesday to Thursday. The Bruges department of the Public Prosecutor for West Flanders said that it was ancient human remains and no judicial investigation would be opened.
A worker discovered the bones during drainage work. The laboratory arrived on site and the preliminary findings indicate that they are ancient remains.
