Koekelberg: induction of Raimundo, a giant made to look like Raymond Goethals

Raimundo, a giant of more than 4 metres tall made to look like Belgian football trainer Raymond Goethals, was presented in Koekelberg on Saturday afternoon. He was very solemnly added to the population register by Koekelberg mayor Philippe Pivin. He was given a giant identity card, before being taken to Elizabeth Park in a parade, where there were various football activities.

After being registered at the Koekelberg town hall, Raimundo was taken to Elizabeth Park in Koekelberg, where Raymond Goethals took his first steps in football, on the esplanade in front of the basilica.

Raimundo is a way for the Brussels to pay tribute to the trainer, who worked at Anderlecht, Saint-Trond, Standard, Bordeaux, Sao Paulo and Marseille. In the future, his designers hope to bring Raimundo to life by taking him to every big event in Koekelberg, and some football matches.
