A woman is fighting for her life in hospital after she was knocked down in a hit-and-run accident in Anderlecht, announced Midi zone police (Anderlecht/Saint-Gilles/Forest), on Sunday. The victim was hit on a pedestrian crossing at the Westland Shopping centre shortly before 6:00pm. The vehicle in question, a dark-coloured Mercedes, failed to stop at the scene.
The woman was taken to hospital and is still in a coma. The driver has not yet been identified.
