Weather: winter is upon us wrapped up in its white coat

It will be cloudy today, with the possibility of afternoon showers. There will be moderate winds, which will however be quite strong on the coast and maximum temperatures will be between three degrees (in the Ardennes) and around eight degrees (in all other regions). During Monday evening and night, there will be variable cloud accompanied by some local showers. There is also the possibility of a storm at the coast. The temperature will fall to freezing point in the east of country reaching around six degrees in coastal areas.

On Tuesday, the weather will be variable; cloudy and still with some showers throughout the country. In the Ardennes, there will be wet snow. The winds will be moderate to fairly strong and blustery by the sea. Maximum temperatures will be between two degrees (in Haute Belgique) and seven degrees (in all other regions).

On Wednesday, the sun will briefly creep through in some places, after a few drops of rain during the morning. The temperature is likely to hit six degrees.

On Thursday and Friday, at first the sky will be very cloudy, before making way for wintry showers, with temperatures fluctuating around four degrees Celsius. In the Ardennes, snow is predicted; there could possibly be a white covering on the ground.

This weekend, there will be night-time frosts. During the day, temperatures will barely get above freezing point.
