Between 200 and 250 Walloon firefighters to protest Wednesday at Namur

Between 200 and 250 Walloon firefighters are expected Wednesday in Namur to express their discontent in relation to the installation of assistance zones, announced the police of the area of Namur on Tuesday. The protesters will initially assemble at 9:30 a.m. at the car park of the Acinapolis cinema complex at Jambes and will start out from there at approximately 10:00. They will take rue de la Gare fleurie, avenue Jean Materne, avenue Bovesse, Joséphine Charlotte Square, Des Ardennes Bridge, Arthur Masson Square, rue Jean-Baptiste Brabant, rue du premier Lanciers, rue Rogier, rue de Fer, rue de l'Ange, rue de Marchovelette, rue du Pont, Musée Bridge and finally Grognon Square in front of the Walloon Parliament, where the procession will disassemble close to noon.

Traffic will be temporarily interrupted along this route during the protest march. As regards the TEC bus, delays are expected, as well as possible detours via Léopold Square (for the bus which takes rue Rogier). The police at Namur invite the protesters to stay abreast of the progress of the protest march through the social networks at www.facebook.com/polnam.be and www.twitter.com/ZPNamur (#Namur et #Manif).
