Seven people injured in accident involving two Brussels trams.

Two trams, running on lines 3 and 7, had a collision yesterday afternoon (Thursday) between the De Wand and Araucaria stops in Brussels, indicated the STIB (Brussels public transport service), thus confirming information on Bruzz.be.
In all, seven individuals were injured and taken to hospital.

An Van Hamme, the STIB spokeswoman explained, “In total seven people were injured. One of the drivers was taken to hospital with a potential trauma. The other driver was in a state of shock and driven to hospital for treatment.”

Ms Van Hamme went further saying, “Five passengers who were slightly injured, were also driven to various hospitals.” The circumstances of the collision are not yet clear.

These circumstances will, henceforth, be analyzed. The tram traffic, in the meantime, swiftly went back up to full capacity on both lines 3 and 7.
