A technical fault caused a fire on a pig farm in Roulers. Around 600 pigs were in the hangar at the time, according to the Courtrai section of the Western Flanders Prosecutor’s office.
Help arrived too late for the unfortunate animals. The fire broke out at around 2am, and the flames spread to a hangar housing around 600 pigs. The Prosecutor’s office sent an expert to the scene. The fire was declared an accident.
