Federal budget discussions drag on until 10 p.m.
The challenge of having enough money in the federal coffers continues.

A small committee of federal government ministers met, as planned, yesterday evening to look into the budget. Members worked until 10 p.m. and will resume related bilateral meetings today. This was public knowledge on Monday evening.

The Michel government seeks 4.2 billion euros keep the country's budget on track and is working on a corporate tax reform.

Discretion has been a must up to now.

The Prime Minister Charles Michel is expected to declare the government's federal budget policy to the Chamber of Representatives next Tuesday.

On October 15th, the draft budget needs to be sent to the European Commision.
