ING staff protest in front of bank's Brussels head office

ING bank staff have been protesting outside the bank's Brussels head office on Avenue Marnix, since today (Friday) at 6 a.m. The news agency Belga stated this, writing from the location.

The trade unions, coming together as a united front, include the CNE/Setca/CGSLB (workers' unions), and the employees themselves, are conducting their first large-scale initiative since Monday's announcement of the 3,158 job cuts at the bank.

Employees at Record Bank, the subsidiary of ING, incorporated within the ING group have also responded to the call of the trade unions.

ING branches are closed throughout the country on Fridays, thus staff are not disrupting the bank’s working hours by protesting today.
