Belgium revealed it did not agree with President Donald Trump’s latest immigration decision on Sunday, through Charles Michel. It does not agree with his decision to ban people from some Muslim countries in the Far East from travelling to the US.
“We do not agree with nationals of seven Muslim countries being banned from entering the US”, a spokesman for Charles Michel told the Belga agency. “Belgium will not follow suit and will ask for explanations through diplomacy”, said the head of the federal government. “Their immigration policy is controlled by the American government and is a sovereign decision”, said Mr Michel. But Belgium will follow the results closely to “spot any eventual consequences for its own nationals”
