“Trainbow Belgium is wearing the rainbow colours flag in the stations during the Belgium Pride week and wishes to show its support for diversity in the Holebi community in particular”, the association said on Monday.
It brings together the Holebi and Transgender (LGBT) community of the Belgian Railways in a statement.
The flags will be hoisted throughout the week on the occasion of the International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia of 17 May 2017 and of the Belgian Pride event on 21 May at the Brussels-Central, Liège-Guillemins, Mons and Ottignies stations, Antwerp-Central, Ghent-Saint-Pierre, Ath, Charleroi-South, Nivelles and Tournai.
The Brussels-Central railway station will also be lit up in the colours of Arc-en-Ciel during the two events.
