The FPS Mobility gives its recommendations for the use of drones according to the rules

"Drones are not just toys, be careful and use them wisely!" warned the FPS Mobility and Transport. Through this slogan, the Public Service has launched a campaign to raise awareness for the use of drones weighing less than 1 kg, the maximum weight allowed, and issues a reminder of the regulations in force since April 2016.

For professional and semi-professional use, pilots must undergo training and pass examinations, says the FPS. For private use, there are certain rules to be observed. Thus, it is obligatory to check one's drone before each use. Flight is only permitted during the day and in clear weather. Flying drones over public places, people and areas that are subject to risk, such as industrial complexes, is also prohibited. Users may only fly drones at a height of less than 10 meters, the height of an average house.
