On Thursday, The US placed the main person presumed to be behind the planning of the Paris and Brussels attacks, known under the false name of Ahmad Alkhald, on an international terrorist watch list, announced the US State Department. This decision makes it harder for him to “access necessary resources to plan and implement other terrorist attacks”, a US State Department spokes-person explained.
Alkhald is a member of the Islamic State group and is currently in Syria. He is presumed to be the main person and planner of the cell that killed 130 people in Paris, 14 November and 32 people in Brussels on 22 March 2016.
