The Royal Meteorological Institute anticipated several snow falls or locally freezing rain in the provinces of Liège, Namur and Luxembourg on Monday morning. The weather warning was in place until 2 p.m. on Monday.
The RMI was anticipating ice on the ground. This situation was expected to hinder or delay getting around and road traffic generally.
Road users were advised to keep sufficient breaking distances and to reduce their speed. It would indeed be wise to continue to do so as long as such treacherous conditions remain.
