Walibi announced on Monday that it is seeking 600 seasonal workers and students, to work in its theme parks, from the end of March until November. The park located in Wavre is recruiting ride operators, staff in sales and season tickets, ride investigators, first-aid workers, and reception staff and cleaners.

Applicants are invited to apply online through the website www.walibi.be. They have to answer several questions by recording a video of themselves on their webcam, before they are then able to move onto the hiring tests.

The theme park, which attracts around 1.3 million visitors per year, will open on March 31st. This season it will open the first of eight new areas which are part of its overall investment plan. Walibi outlines that this will include a new ‘World’, comprising a family “coaster” (roller coaster, editor’s note) hitherto unseen, set up close to the current Challenge of Tutankhamon, and a fully exotic Tiki theme (think Hawaiian mythology) in the area located at the far end of the park.

Last June, the park announced an investment of more than 100 million euros in a transformation plan to be spread over five years. Owing to this, new attractions will appear every year through to 2023 with each area having a new theme. When all of these changes are complete, 75% of the area of the Walibi park will be transformed.
