Tuesday night through to Wednesday morning the coldest this winter
Freezing temperatures were observed in numerous locations in Belgium on Wednesday.

The night of Tuesday through to Wednesday morning recorded the coldest temperatures since this winter began. At 7 a.m. on Wednesday morning, the temperatures went down to -8.6 degrees Celsius in Uccle (the Royal Meteorological Institute). The record for this winter was indicated on Twitter by the Flemish weather presenter, Frank Deboosere.

Freezing temperatures were also observed in other locations at the same time: -7.8 degrees Celsius in Coxyde, -10.1 degrees Celsius in Zaventem, -14.3 degrees Celsius in Saint-Hubert and even -18 degrees Celsius in Elsenborn.

Monday night through to Tuesday morning had already been described as the coldest this winter 2017-2018, before being knocked off the top spot on Wednesday.
