EuroMillions: Belgian scoops 17 million euros
The lucky citizen was the only individual here to land the “jackpot” of €17 million.

An individual from Belgium yesterday scooped the trifling amount of €17 million on the EuroMillions lottery. A National Lottery spokesperson made this public during the evening. The lucky citizen guessed the 5 winning numbers in Tuesday’s draw (14 27 39 46 48) accompanied by two “winning star” balls (11 12). He was the only individual, in this draw, to land the “jackpot” of €17 million.

Although a tidy sum, it is still far from that won by a Brusseler, in their 40s, scooped on October 11th, 2016. The jackpot that night was €168 million. In 2017, the EuroMillions went on to produce two big winners in Belgium, with winnings of €153 million and €23 million respectively. Estimates indicate that around 6.5 million people tried their luck at least once last year on a National Lottery game.
