Three Reyers complex tunnels closed simultaneously

The renovation of the Reyers complex tunnels entered a new phase on Monday, with three tunnels closed simultaneously, while the Meiser tunnel is now open to traffic once again. Work has begun on the Reyers-Montgomery tunnel, in both directions, and the Reyers-Meiser tunnel in the direction of the E40. All three have thus been closed to traffic, as a result of which vehicular movement will be disrupted around Reyers Square. Drivers travelling to Brussels from the ring are requested to take alternative routes, such as going through the A12, the Leopold III tunnel and the E411. The deviations will be shown on dynamic information panels that will indicate the fastest routes.

It is still not possible to take the E40 from the Roodebeek Avenue, so traffic is being deviated through the Avenue des Cerisiers. Drivers coming from Roodebeek Avenue who wish to go to Meiser Square need to take Plasky Square.

Local traffic can use the Louvain Road, the Leopold III tunnel or Tervueren Avenue.

Brussels Mobility stresses that the surrounding areas are well covered by public transport.
