On Sunday’s opening of the 24th UN Conference on Climate Change (COP24) and for the occasion of the “Claim the Climate” march organised in Brussels, the SNCB is launching a €5 “Green Ticket”, to travel across the entire network. The ticket may be purchased from all ticket counters, automatic sales machines and even on the Internet site, from Friday through to Sunday inclusive.
The SNCB states, “Like Mobility Week, during which the SNCB offered on the car-free day a ticket with the same advantages, the SNCB thus intends to promote the train as an ecological means of transport.
The SNCB is very pleased saying, “Every day, the SNCB contributes to reducing CO2 emissions in the journeys of Belgians who make the train their preferred means of transport.
At the same time as the opening of the COP24, a “Claim the Climate” march is planned for Sunday in Brussels. Between 20,000 to 25,000 people are expected to take part.
