More than 100 Gilets Jaunes assembled in the centre of Charleroi on Saturday afternoon. They then marched through various areas of the town. They used the opportunity to reiterate their demands, which mainly focus on a reduction in certain taxes.
The Gilets Jaunes started in Ville Haute and headed towards the other side of Brussels to get to the Rive Gauche shopping centre. Most of those taking part in the demonstration were from the Charleroi region. After the Rive Gauche they went to the Ville 2 shopping centre and the Town Hall. There were no incidents reported.
The Gilets Jaunes have already said there will be more demonstrations over the next few days.
