Belgian comic strip artist Claude Renard has died

The Belgian comic strip author and illustrator Claude Renard died on Sunday at the age of 72. 
Claude Renard was born in Boussu in 1948. His stories were published in the magazine Metal hurlant. He worked with François Schuiten, who was little-known at the time. 

At the end of the 80s, he moved away from comics and focused on illustration and theatre (decor, costumes, scenery and directing). He worked for Franco Dragone, among others.
