Two of the three suspects arrested Monday in the wake of the shooting in Utrecht were released on Tuesday. "Only Gökmen T, the main suspect, is still in prison," said the mayor of Utrecht Jan van Zanen.
Further information reported about Gökmen T has revealed he was still in pre-trial detention a short time ago, various sources quoted by the Dutch public television and radio NOS reported.
The suspect was scheduled to be tried two weeks ago in three cases: a bicycle theft, a burglary in a bicycle shop and a rape case. According to the 47-year-old victim, named Angelique, the man was released after spending six weeks in detention for failing to comply with certain conditions, according to RTBF.
"He's crazy, drugged, I've warned the police many times, he's not a terrorist, just a psychopath, " the victim said.
