The existence of the scam was confirmed by a spokeswoman for Colruyt, who explained that the supermarket chain never sends such emails to its customers.
Colruyt Group is a Belgian family-owned retail corporation best known for its discount supermarket chain, which is one of the major players in Belgium. According to the company report, its properties account for 31.8% of the Belgian market.
