Young people force victim to take off his clothes before they rob him

Brasschaat police arrested four minors on Tuesday after a violent robbery that had taken place in Antwerp province on Sunday evening. The youngsters had forced the unidentified victim to take off his clothes and hand over his wallet and mobile phone, according to reports.

On Sunday evening two groups of about ten young people confronted each other at the water tower in the town of Aerdenlei. "A bicycle was taken, a boy was beaten. Then the group left," said the Antwerp public prosecutor in a press release.

When the victim wanted his bicycle back, there was another confrontation. The victim was made to take off his clothes under threat and hand over his wallet and mobile phone. A weapon was also shown, added the release.

The police of Brasschaat were informed and started an investigation into the events. On Wednesday the minors were brought before the juvenile court, with two sentenced to time in a juvenile detention centre while the other two are on probation.
