There will be a short break in the weather on Saturday followed by more rain

The southern half of the country should see a fairly dry Friday with sunny intervals, while in the north it will continue to remain dull with a risk of the odd shower. It will be very wet on Saturday during the day, the IRM issuing a yellow alert in respect of downpours over the whole of Wallonia, with the exception of Walloon Brabant.
 
On Friday, maximum temperatures will be between 12 degrees in Hautes-Fagnes and 16 degrees in De Kempen. The wind will at first be moderate in the western area, later becoming slight and variable. During Friday and Saturday night, it will initially be dry  with some sunny spells. The sky will then cloud over, turning to rain from the French border. There will be moderate if not heavy rainfall, especially over the south-east half of the country. A risk of flooding cannot be ruled out in the south of the Sambre-et-Meuse region. Minimum temperatures will be between 6 and 9 degrees.
 
On Saturday, it will be overcast with rain at first. Over the south of the country, it will continue to rain heavily with a local risk of minor flooding. During the course of the day, It will quickly become dry over the north-west of the country with increasingly longer sunny spells. Over the east and especially the south-east, it will remain overcast with rain throughout the day. It will be fresh with highs of between 8 to 12 degrees. The wind will be moderate and at sea quite strong at times.
 
The weather will be drier on Sunday with sunny intervals.
