First cannabis store in Hasselt sold out of cannabis oil on first day
The first legal cannabis store in Hasselt, The Florist, opened its doors on Saturday and sold out all of its cannabis oil on the same day. The store sells a series of cannabis oils and several kinds of marihuana suitable to give pain patients a relaxed feeling.

"Our products have been extensively tested and all carry a certificate. We do not sell drugs at all, quite the contrary," the manager of the store, who would like to stay anonymous, said to Het Nieuwsblad.

The mayor of Hasselt, Steven Vandeput (N-VA), was not very happy with the arrival of the shop. "We had expected some kind of police check at the opening, but no police oficers were there," the manager said. "Whoever wants to check us, is absolutely welcome. We have nothing to hide. Everything that happens here is perfectly legal," he added.

"We have already had more than a hundred customers, and our oil supply ran out on the first day. People were clearly waiting for this," he said.
