Strikes on Dutch public transport on Tuesday are also causing hindrance on the Belgian connections.

Due to strikes by the Dutch trade unions, all public transport has stopped in the Netherlands. Almost all buses, trams, metros and trains are not running today. The strike may also have consequences for those who want to take the train in Belgium. "The strike mainly impacts cross-border trains," said Bart Crols, SNCB spokesperson.

"The train between Antwerp and Roosendaal runs only as far as Essen. The same goes for the connection Hasselt - Liège - Maastricht, that train also goes no further than Visé," said Crols.

The timetable for the IC train to the Netherlands - the Amsterdammer- has remained unchanged. "If you want to take the IC train to Amsterdam, we recommend that you consult the travel information in order not to get in trouble," Crols said.
