The countdown has begun: taxpayers have only one month before the deadline for online filing on Tax-on-web expires on 11 July, the Finance Department recalled on Tuesday.
Thus far, 818,765 physical persons have filed their taxes online. The Itsme app is making its mark with the public since 13% of private filers have used it to identify themselves, up from 5% for the same period of last year.
People who prefer filing on paper should also not delay themselves: their income-tax returns need to reach the tax authorities by 28 June. Filing-assistance sessions have been organised countrywide and will continue until the eve of this deadline. Time schedules are available on the website of the Finance Department.
Taxpayers who use the services of accountants have until 24 October to encode their declarations on Tax-on-web.
