Part of Belgium’s airspace will be closed again from this Friday to Saturday night, according to Skeyes, the company in charge of air-traffic control.
The Sector East of the airspace will be off limits from 1.30 a.m. to 4.30 a.m.
This should have repercussions mainly for the Liège Airport, which specialises in freight transport and is very active at nights.
The partial closure is due to a shortage of air-traffic controllers to replace colleagues who are off sick, a Skeyes spokesperson explained.
