Since 6:00 AM on Thursday morning, the automatic ticket machines of Belgium's national railway company (NMBS/SNCB) have not been operating throughout the country due to a technical problem.
As of 12:00 there has been no update from the company to say machines are working.
While the machines - situated at stations throughout Belgium - are not working, travellers can still buy tickets via the website, the app and at the ticket office.

Buy a ticket onboard the train will cost the normal rate. "Our people are doing everything in their power to solve the problem as quickly as possible," said spokesman Dimitri Temmerman.
The latest updates can be found on the Twitter account for the rail, available in French and Dutch.
