What now for education?

During the school year 2015-2016, the Wallonia-Brussels Federation suffered a dearth of 2,837 teachers. L'Echo is reporting this on Friday. It is mainly in vocational secondary schools and further education that this deficiency is the most striking.

The Federation’s cabinet last week drew up the list of teaching posts in the school year just gone. Vocational secondary teaching has a scarcity of 1,538 teachers with almost all of its specialisms affected. Further education has a shortage of 577 teachers. Geographically, the province of Hainaut is most impacted, with a shortage of 972 teachers.
