More than 450 jobs available in the pharmaceutical and chemistry industries

Walloon businesses in the pharmaceutical and chemistry sector are currently looking for around 450 people. Two thirds of these will be new positions, while a third will be staff replacement. This is according to a semestrial inquiry by essenscia Wallonia, the sector’s federation. The federation says people with bachelor degrees (126 jobs) or Masters (71) in science are of particular interest. “The specialist aspect of the sector means we are looking for experienced people. We would therefore recommend new graduates take extra training. This can be done at Cefochim, the sector’s training centre”, says Bernard Broze, essenscia Wallonia’s delegate administrator. “The alternate training that currently exist for those doing a Masters in genetic analysis should also apply to those with bachelor degrees, so young people can get into the job market quickly”, he added.
