The State will check up on how businesses prevent burn-out

The inspection service in charge of Employee Wellbeing will be checking up how on businesses prevent burn-out, L’Echo reported on Saturday. Last year, an average of 122.825 people went on sick leave for more than a year, due to psycho-social problems.

Since 2014, employers must take measures to protect their employees from fatigue and other risk factors linked to work.

The inspection service will send inspectors to around 250,000 businesses. If businesses are not up to the required standard, they could get fines of up to 6,000 euros.
