The Red Cross has launched an appeal for blood donors. There is currently a critically low supply of blood, the Red Cross said in a press release. “As there were three bank holidays in May, there was a significant fall in blood donations that month. This applies to most blood groups”, explains the organisation.
The Red Cross hopes to restock and get supplies stable before people start to go off on holiday.
Anyone over 18 and in good health can go to a Red Cross centre and donate.
