Supermarket chain Carrefour has issued a recall for smoked horsemeat due to concerns it may contain glass shards.
The product in question is a 135 grams package of smoked horsemeat with a May 22 expiry date.
The international grocer has asked consumers to discard the product, available in the cold meats section of a number of Carrefour shops in Belgium.
Alternatively, consumers are also asked to bring packages back into one of their shops for reimbursement, Belgian media reported.
Carrefour has stated that concerned costumers can reach out to their client service numbers.
