The parents of a 10 month old girl are suing the staff of a crèche in Berchem-Sainte-Agathe (Brussels) following their child’s death, La Dernière Heure reported on Saturday. The little girl hit her head on a toy, and died on Thursday. The child went home with a lump on her forehead on Tuesday. According to the Director, she hit her head on a toy.
The next day, the little girl “was screaming when she arrived at the crèche”, according to her Uncle’s statement. On Thursday, the mother was told that the child had been taken to hospital following an epileptic fit. Doctors diagnosed a haemorrhage due to her hitting her head, he said. The crèche is saying she fainted.
The little girl died on Thursday evening, despite two operations. An investigation has been opened.
