The explosive belts worn by the Paris attackers were made in a flat in Schaerbeek, De Standaard, Het Nieuwsblad and Het Laatste Nieuws revealed on Friday. Investigators think that Salah Abdeslam used the flat, which was rented by a suspect currently in custody, as a hiding place after the attacks.
The bomb workshop was found by investigators on the 9th of December. They found traces of TATP explosives as well as three hand-sewn belts that could have been used to transport explosives. Salah Abdeslam’s fingerprint was also found at the scene.
The detonators were added to the explosive devices at a hotel near Paris (Alfortville), where Salah Abdeslam had booked two rooms.
The federal Prosecutor’s office did not want to comment, De Standaard said
