Salah Abdeslam has been extradited to France's jurisdiction.
So the Federal Prosecutor's Office has told the Belga news agency.
“As part of the case relating to the Paris attacks of November 13th, Salah Abdeslam has just this morning been delivered into the hands of the French authorities, in execution of a warrant that France issued for his arrest on March 19th, 2016,” states the Office in a communiqué.
The Federal Prosecutor's Office refuses to say anything further in respect of the time and circumstances of this handover.
The newspaper La Dernière Heure says that the transfer of the prime suspect of the November 13th Paris attacks to a Paris prison took place this morning (Wednesday).
Franck Berton, the Lille barrister, will act for Salah Abdeslam in France.
