Three international “most wanted” fugitives arrested by Federal police

The Federal Police’s FAST team (Fugitive Active Search Team) arrested three internationally wanted fugitives in just a few days. On Friday, police revealed these suspects were on the “most wanted” lists in their respective countries.

Krzystof P, who was sentenced to 6 years in prison in March 2011, was arrested in Evere on Tuesday morning. Rafal B, who was sentenced to 11 years for human trafficking, belonging to a criminal organisation and drug trafficking, was arrested in Rhodes-saint-Genèse on Monday. He had been living in Belgium illegally using fake identity papers for seven years. They were both on the Polish “most wanted” list. They have been remanded in custody so they can be tried in Poland.

A third foreign criminal was arrested in Ixelles on Thursday. Levent B, an Albanian, was wanted for a murder that took place in 1997. He was sentenced to 17 years and 7 months in prison back in 2014. He is being held in Saint-Gilles prison and will be extradited to Albania.
