A man in Dinant stabbed his stepfather three times in the early hours of Saturday morning, the Namur Prosecutor’s office has said.
The two men, who are around the same age, were out drinking together when the situation degenerated. The stepson took a knife and stabbed his stepfather three times in the throat.
“Luckily the injuries are not serious. The perpetrator is saying his stepfather had a knife and he was trying to defend himself when he stabbed him”, the Namur Prosecutor’s office said. They have assigned a medical examiner to the case.
The perpetrator has been placed under arrest for attempted murder
