Pascale Peraïta seeking 280,000 euro for “wrongful dismissal” from Samusocial

Pascale Peraïta, the former director of Samusocial, is seeking 280,000 euro in termination benefits, L’Echo reported on Tuesday, based on information from a legal source. The case will be presented on Tuesday next at the Brussels Labour Court, Peraïta’s attorney confirmed.

Peraïta has summonsed Samusocial, an agency that cares for the homeless, and the Commission communautaire commune (Cocom – Joint Community Commission) for termination benefits based on her work contract, which ran from 2001 to 2017.

The amount she is suing for is about 280,000 euro gross, plus an allowance related to the political leave of absence she had from the Public Social Services Centre (CPAS).

Samusocial is being sued as the employer, while Pascale Peraïta contends that Cocom had pressed Samusocial since June 2017 to dismiss her. This is a rare procedure based on “third-party complicity” that could take more than a year.
