A man who attacked and wounded a policeman with a knife in the Brussels Capital-Ixelle district on Tuesday has been charged with attempted murder of a terrorist nature, the Office of the Public Prosecutor (OPP) disclosed on Wednesday. The assailant’s motives were not immediately clear. He was still in critical condition in hospital on Wednesday and could not be questioned.
The policeman wounded in the attack was discharged from hospital on Tuesday.
