A policeman was arrested in connection with the investigation of an alleged traffic of humanitarian visas, Het Nieuwsblad reported Friday on its website. The officer, who works for the Brussels central services, is thought to have warned one or more individuals of impending raids, in the wake of the arrest of Mechelen local councillor Melikan Kucam. The prosecution was not directly available Friday evening to confirm the information.
